Clearly you are crossposting the same press release to many forums across the web - They have to come from somewhere.
Or are you composing them yourself, and adding in the handy links at the bottom of each one?

May I suggest a solution - why not have a forum section called 'Music News' - that promoters and bands can use freely without irking anyone - people will mosey over to it when we want to hear some new stuff.

In that context it's not a spam - its just a press release. Nobody's is being deprived of anything - quite the opposite.

Spam would be when one band continually hits the same spot.

Btw - I came across this forum because I saw my band being talked about - liked the look of the place and decided to join in - I hope that's not interpreted as rude.

Hey guys - I just don't get this - the guy's a promoter (of soughts) - he puts up one post about a band releasing an album - and people descend with indignation and hostility. Ok the same thing gets put around on a few other places but at the end of the day it's just an item of news. At some point or other any of you might find your self hooking with a number of agents, promoters, etc - to be honest to get UK airplay they're essential.

btw - you've got to forgive me - beginning of Easter holiday - quite pissed - just seen a horror on DVD called 'Children' - dead good - must see!
