| Drag Queen Style Wigs Where in god's earth do I find one?
I'm looking for a huge, Lilly savage- esque wig, preferably in platinum blonde or candyfloss pink, but any colour will do if I get desperate. All of the fancy dress shops online are too cheap and tacky (I want something of decent quality and I'm willing to pay for it) and all of the drag shops are too subdued (believe it or not).
Does anyone know where I can buy one, or even where I could get someone to make one? Long shot, I know.

| Re: Drag Queen Style Wigs Have you thought about using a not-so-great wig as a base and making it up into drag queen standards on your own? Funnily enough, I just completed an art project on drag queens and had bad luck getting anything ready made, so I got plain wigs and added extensions, plastic&foam 'structuring' and went for it. |

I 've tried this before though and managed to fuck it up royally. Any tips for getting a good shape and types of wigs and extensions to use? Quote: |

It is a bit cheap looking, though. Take it you've already ransacked Ebay?

| Re: Drag Queen Style Wigs Got your PM! But I have no idea how to get the pictures in it, so HERE are the ones I did. The red&blonde one started out as a shoulder length blonde wig, and I've attatched a photo of the purple ones beginnings.
I'm happy to help in any way with questions or whatever I can, but I'm not sure about making it - the ones in the pictures aren;t up to any great standard and I'd feel bad being 'commissioned' to produce them when they werent up to scratch.
(Secretly, mr purple wig has a full face of drag make up, but he'd be sad if the internet could see it) |
