Infact, I'll get you some as a housewarming, so I have an excuse to go to ikea.

Or just buy something simple, like spider plants or grass plants, they're giant in a few months and clone themselves whenever they feel like it. |

| Re: Plants I'd avoid ikea - every single plant I've bought there has died. I'm not exactly johnny green fingers but I'm not wholly inept either, they've got loads of weird and wonderful plants that just don't seem to thrive in our climate. B&Q do a selection of three houseplants for a fiver, they're pretty good quality and last as long as you look after them. |

| Re: Plants Oh oh oh! B&Q is your pal. I LOVE having green in my house. 15 bucks for two BIG plants, I've started off with Devils Ivy wich is about 2metres tall and some sort of Dragon tree thingy. Lush. |

| Re: Plants In saying that, though, I got an orchid from Ikea nearly 3 years ago. I'm RUBBISH at looking after it, but it's never died, and blooms twice a year without fail. When it blooms it has about 8 really pretty flowers.
I really want a chilli plant - currently we have a basil plant (called Rosemary), a rosemary plant (called Basil) and a coriander plant (much to my disgust; he's called Steve). |

I got a beautiful smelly one from botanics at the fair last year and it bloomed twice but since then it's just been growing more and more green stalks and no sign of flowering again |
