Aye, Crystal is well wee-er than me and she is thin but shes trying to put weight on and its natural for her. I think you are more like me in size and body frame shape. I think the thinnest I could ever go without looking anorexic would be 9 1/2 stone and that would be pushing it!

Jesus Christ. Yes, BMI is not great for people of approximately normal weight or extenuating circumstances (such as a very small frame, or high muscle mass), but there is a reason it is used in medical circles - in the vast majority of people it's a really good way of determining health. The vast majority of people can't have a BMI of 15 and be healthy, just as the vast majority of people can't have a BMI of 35 and be healthy.

This has made me properly fucking concerned.

Haha, don't be concerned.

I hate how whenever I post in threads like these there's always a lot of drama about me being weight para ://

I'm just going to have to lose weight in privacy again I think....

Y'know what? I think Christie looks curvy for her size and shape. It wouldn't immediately strike me as grounds for concern that she wants to lose a bit of weight. Its not necessary, strictly speaking, but if she wants to be a bit skinnier then thats entirely her prerogative.

I didn't expect this opinion to put me at such dramatic odds with medical science, as represented here by Vicky.

Re: The all-new, all-singing, all-dancing two stone for whenever thread.

I have no problems with anyone wanting to lose a little weight, but there is no need for her to lose 3 stone - that is a shitload of weight, especially for someone of a perfectly normal size. There's no ignoring the fact that a BMI of 15.8 is seriously underweight.

Oh come ON! You come in here saying you want to lose 3 stone from a perfectly healthy weight and expect people to not comment on it!? I know you're smarter than that.

I was really talking about Vickys somewhat sudden outburst, if you read between the lines.

Well fuck me slowly with a chainsaw - surprisingly I actually give a fuck about people's health. If someone doesn't want an opinion they shouldn't post.
