Well chicks (and those with dicks that arent chicks) it went ok, if i need treatment then i would need to get anaesthetic but they assured me it was only a mild abnormality so it could just be a minor thing that works its way out of my body.

And i couldnt stop laughing, im sorry, but when you're fanny is hanging out, in a room with 3 other people, and your gynaecologist has a pure porno tash, with sweet dreams on the radio "some of them want to use you" - i couldnt help but laugh, it was just bizarre and you couldnt make it up!

Anyone else get one recently? How'd you get on? I was so compelled by the telly screen showing my innards, i was repulsed but couldnt look away! And when he did the biopsy bit, like, it was tiny cause i could see them puttig it in the sample thingy, but on the screen it looked huge, and i was saying 'wow - i can see it bleeding'.

Weird, but funny!

Dont have the fear at all, seriously, get it done, chat away to the lovely nurse, and just wait and see.

I had a smear test the other day. Grim, but better than not having it done, in the long run.

Getting a smear test is nothing really compared to other gynecological horrors I have experienced as of late.Wouldn't worry about that at all.

I think it's more the prospect of having to get follow up and something abnormal being found, is that what you meant Elspeth? I was chatting to acouple of the ladies at work, and taking on board my mum's opinion of 'when you have kids, it's like it's on show for everyone to see so you get used to it', i thought most women had this attitude. But women at work didnt, they hated it. And i understand the 'violation' feeling, but i think ive come from the background of 'doctor knows best'.

Yeah, the actual smear, whilst not very pleasant doesn't actually bother me.

having kid = nae dignity, about 2/3 people see you half naked. Still loathe smears though

I had to re-arrange my Colposcopy for a few weeks. Feeling slightly better about it now thanks
