See, I always make the silly mistake of teaming them with a big cutty necklace, and thats how the pain starts.
Still love them but, because I'm normally too drunk/aware of the pain in my feet to notice my neck.
I also like halter necks but they cut the back of my neck to ribbons. Well, that is a slight exaggeration but they DO hurt. For me, anyway.

Yeh, its Rocha - i definetely made the right choice returning that one from Wallis! I think it's decided what im wearing a week today for my mate's brithday bash!
Seriously, that picture on the website does it bugger all justice!
And Helen - you would suit dresses that have a high neck/collar and are sleeveless, no?
"She was a daaaaaaaay tripper!"
I can wear sleeveless things, but the angle of the straps on halter necks makes my shoulders look HYOOJ, same with ones where everything hangs from the collar. I need either straight straps, straps which lie towards the shoulders, or completely covered shoulders. As a result, all these stylish Rockabilly-type things which are so in vogue right now look HIDEOUS on me. And of course, they seem to be the only ones within my price range with lovely full skirts that I like (not a fan of the bubble-hem), so I'm screwed when it comes to easily finding a nice, affordable dress in a style I like.
Hmm, what about ones like this;

I can't wait til this arrives...

The first one - maybe, because of the lace breaking up the shoulders and the straight straps. Never tried on before though, might also make me look like an awkward 10-year-old. Can't tell. I've tried ones like the Debenhams one before, and they look ridiculous on me because of the angle sloping in towards the neck and my distinct lack of curvy-curves. Other things that don't suit me - drop waists, tent clothes, a good proportion of empire-waist outfits.
Yep, I have two! They have capped sleeves and are awesome.

i might be way off here, but what you described sounds like this?
It's last season, from Principles. they had it in lots of colours, including black polka dots, and you can generally get them to order things a season back.
I adore this dress, but the neck its too high for my fairly large boobs![]()
I know. I'm thinking wearing it on new years day with a large studded belt and my new pink leopard print tuxedo jacket. To resurrect some dire 90's patter- "schwing!".
Also, it only cost £6, so I'm waiting in anticipation that it's no actually pure horrible and is, in fact, the best thing ever.
