I write reviews, mostly films. I don't do it for AN anymore (copyright issues, basically I can't be bothered paraphrasing my work for another site enough to qualify as an 'original work' to escape any nasties), although I still throw in the odd review of new PC games. I love to write because it's an expressive outlet for me when 99% of my brain functions are used to solve legal and syntactic problems within which there's very little scope for creativity. If I didn't use my writing to branch out now and again I suspect my brain would become trapped in repetitive motions and become somewhat stagnant

All this talk of writing makes me want to get my old newspaper columns back but I am not convinced I have the time and it would mean giving up other forms of writing I do

I had to write a silly wee script for my college course. Ended up pretty much ripping off the opening few chapters from The Big Sleep. Though it was pretty much stealing, it was an awful lot of fun. I'd give it a proper go if I had the fucking time to.
