It was bought for my birfday. I rather liked it for the most part, although the Littlejohn entry had been marked - that was in very bad taste, and frankly quite uncalled for.

How does it compare to the first one?

You got it for your what sorry? It's one thing to have a difficulty in saying 'th' but to deliberately miss-spell a word to mimic such a speech imprediment is both absurd and unbelievably stupid.

When the same words are repeated in every post a bit of variation is undestandable, but when using it in normal conversation it's just daft.

I can't imagine anyone else using the phrase "bought for my birfday" would have provoked such a reaction. Having the opinon that it's fine to use it in Birthday threads but not in other casual conversations could be viewed as "ABSURD" and "UNBELIEVABLY STUPID".

It's not like this forum hasn't seen this sort of thing before admittedly, but then that just backs up my belief that the popular users here can say anything and get away with it, the unpopular can say nothing and still not.
