The Las Vegas stage production of The Producers has a mostly so-so cast when you compare it to the Broadway or London casts (Nathan Lane, Lee Evans, Matthew Broderick) comprised of mostly no-namers...but there's one thing Vegas got that noone else did.
The Hoff.
David Hasselhoff auditioned for the play when it was originally getting casted and was asked to play the role of Franz (Originally played by Kenneth Mars, upstaged imo by Will Ferrell). When the Hoff pointed out he'd prefer not to play a Hitler obsessed Nazi given his majority of fan-base in Germany. So instead he got cast as Roger de Bris.
Got tickets for tonight since the Hoff leaves the cast in 2 weeks time - but in a few short hours I'll get to see gay Hitler-Hoff! I am squee with excitement
