| Re: Harry Potter/Deathly Hallows/SPOILERS! I really wanted Harry and Voldemort to have a big final battle that ended in the death of both of them. As others have said, I felt the epilogue was tacked on at the end. |

| Re: Harry Potter/Deathly Hallows/SPOILERS! this is how it should have gone:
ron is put under a spell by snape
but no-one knows
dobby figures it out and gets killed
harry finds a more-magical wand
tries to defeat voldy
but hermione has this special stone that is the key to the magical wands power
so ron kills hermione and takes the stone to voldy before harry realises
so voldy has the stone now
and when harry zaps him with his wand it burns his wand-hand off
eventually, harry kills voldy but has to die as well cos they are linked
ron is sent to azkaban
luna and neville crush the bones of voldemort so he can never return
then, it goes to nineteen years later
luna and neville send their child, harry, off to hogwarts
end of book.

| Re: Harry Potter/Deathly Hallows/SPOILERS! I KNEW Snape would come good at the end. I wouldnt have been able to cope if Alan Rickman would have had to have been bad in the movies :-)
Was absolutely gutted when Hedwig died.
I liked the 19 years later bit... the kids name were a bit rubbish apart from one of them having the middle name Severus but overall it was the ending I wanted from the book.
I liked the entire thing, maybe Im an incurable romantic and maybe Im just a kid at heart that I only see the surface and forget about all the little fine details, but I like it this way. |

The last line is also shit.
Middle bit of the bpok was boring but ok. The battle was col but the way VOldemort was killed is a bit boring really |

| Re: Harry Potter/Deathly Hallows/SPOILERS! I thought it was pretty good. I was generally satisfied by the way they were captured and their plans almost scuppered a few times. It made it all the more interesting. It also tied up a few loose ends from the other books.
I though perhaps the book would have been better without the epilogue, or perhaps with a slightly longer one... More like the average lengths of other chapters.
It's a shame it's all come to an end now, but I wasn't disapointed.

| Re: Harry Potter/Deathly Hallows/SPOILERS! A lot of people complain about the epilogue (I liked it though) but it does stop anyone else attempting to write another Harry Potter. Its all tied up. You know whats happened in those 19 years. Theres not much of a story you'd be able to get out of it. |

I always liked Snape. Alan Rickman aside, I always felt for him.
Harry Potter annoys me a wee bit. |

| Re: Harry Potter/Deathly Hallows/SPOILERS! Aye, the 19 years later bit was boring. I had to re-read the bit of Voldermort dying a few times coz it seemed too much like "They fought, then he died" style. The last 100 pages made up for the rest of the book.

i refuse to believe there wasn't fall-out from voldy's death. the ministry was left in tatters.
