I though perhaps the book would have been better without the epilogue, or perhaps with a slightly longer one... More like the average lengths of other chapters.
It's a shame it's all come to an end now, but I wasn't disapointed.
AYe i'm only annoyed about the epilogue in the fact thatit wasn't long enough and didnt go into enough depth for my liking. Sad I KNOW...but like how was George with no Fred etc etc?

Re: Harry Potter/Deathly Hallows/SPOILERS!

Fred's death really saddened me

One thing that I thought was a little odd though was how Harry managed to stay limp and play dead when the Cruciatus curse was used on him... I thought it caused excrutiating pain!

I thought it said that the 'pain didn't come'[sic], indicating that he was somewhat immune to the Elder Wand's powers already. But then I guess the whole last speech was a bit pointless, but maybe it was all for show for Voldemort (a kind of 'do you feel lucky, punk' thing) to psych him out. Kinda takes away from the tension, though, if you figure that out first.

He wasn't wearing it at that point, this is when they were in the Forbidden Forest and Voldemort "killed" Harry.

Re: Harry Potter/Deathly Hallows/SPOILERS!

Ok just finished it (sue me for being a slow reader)

all in all i enjoyed it.

did seem to drag a bit in the middle but the battle at the end was excellent (the thought of a load of rampaging desks amused me greatly) i thought the lead up to the final Final Harry/Voldemont was a bit weak and could have been a bit more grandeous rather than have harry scurry about under the cloak.

Images of sigourny weaver playing the part of mrs weasly in the last one simply because of the bitch line.

would have liked it if Mad eye hadnt died and made a last minute comeback, kicking death eater ass left right and center.

didnt mind the 19 years later bit mainly because it kind of felt a bit of a nostalgic nod to the first book with a whole new generation of wizards and witches. plus its all comes full circle.

One question tho.....does anyone else ever get hungry reading these books? im off to cook up the contents of muy cuboard.
