Ron can speak Parseltounge? Naw.
If you've not finished the book yet, please don't read this thread unless you want to know whats happened.
I'm just fed up of hide tags.
What was your favorite bit?
Did you turn a page and feel your heart leap or sink?
Did you expect anything?
Have I typed enough to confound hovertext?
Here goes....
I loved the part where Dumbledore spoke to Harry at Kings cross, and the scene with Snape in the Headmarters office.
Final warning, if you don't want to know, look away now!
It made a lot of sense and fitted in with other things we knew from the books; this was one revelation that appealed to me. The idea of Harry being the final Horcrux seemed obvious, almost unspoken from book 6, but to reveal that Harry must die was inspired. I quite liked the way it was revealed too, tying together a lot of threads.
When I read that Harry had to die I was really amused, it was a great twist but I couldn't help wondering how she'd get around it.
As for the final chapter... Bit shite really. I'm an incurable romantic and I thought it over the top.

i loved it and liked that they explained why Snape killed Dumbledore personally, helped change my opinion of the character completely which i liked it saddened me that they killed dobby though
Also would some kind mod fix the spelling mistake![]()

I also loved the Kings Cross chapter. It was a nice way of tying up loose ends and interesting to see a more human, fallible side to Dumbeldore. The depth of Snapes relationship with Lily was a nice touch as well.

i liked that too, you wouldnt know he loved her if it wasnt for the last book. I didnt like the 19 years later bit personally

To be fair It's not like they were major characters or anything. They could have been, but Rowling never bothered to expand on their characters in the previous books.Originally Posted by GypsyTrash View Post

I was quite glad of that. That character always seemed to be an addon. He was also way to annoying.they killed off dobby, poor houself, it was a veritable slaughter of characters though and i like that she explained why snape killed dumbledore
I'm glad there won't be any more. There are far too many stories that are streched too far. Harry Potter should end now. it is the right place for the saga to end.
I liked the part where Snape turned on his heel.
Ctrl-V tastic.
I saw the Snape thing coming a mile off. it was no surprise. I love that the middle name of one of his kids was Severus.
Im pissed that all but one of my favourites died. At least Draco made it through.
They dragged out the camping bit with just Hermione and Harry a bit I thought. Not enough going on.
I knew it was Snape with the doe. But then I knew Snape wasnt a bad guy.
I loved the big battle at Hogwarts. I also like the change of character in Dudley and Kreatcher
Who was the guy in the room with Dumbledore when Harry was with him?
Ahh, makes sense.
Just finished it, thought it was brilliant.
I feel exactly the same, they were my favourites too! I guessed Snape would be a goner and probably Lupin. Actually I had guessed pretty much everything about snape!
Was suprised there were so many killing's, mostly shocked at Hedwig!
Thought there was some bits in the middle that went on too long, mainly the stuff with Hermoine and Harry in the tent.
There was a lot of explanations that took me a while to get through as I just wanted to know what happened, but looking back I loved that she explains so much that it all comes to a final conclusion.
Harry really grows up in the book as well and I thought that was done really well.
Just upset that it's all over now![]()
