The second book of hers I've read and the second I've thought was pish. There's a lesson in there somewhere.

What did you think of it? I enjoyed it but the ending irritated me a tad, obviously I wasn't expecting him to wrap it up happily but I would've liked him to address some of the unanswered questions. I kept getting the feeling I was missing something.

It got me addicted to tea as well, seems he mentions it constantly.

Haha, I know where you're coming from... I was pretty surprised it won the Booker prize.

1. Joseph Conrad - Heart of Darkness
2. D. H. Lawrence - The Rainbow
3. Evelyn Waugh - A Handful of Dust
4. James Joyce - A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man
5. Evelyn Waugh - The Loved One
6. Philip Pullman - Northern Lights
7. Philip Pullman - The Subtle Knife
8. D. H. Lawrence - Women in Love
9. Ford Madox Ford - The Good Soldier

10. Virginia Woolf - To The Lighthouse

Some nice wee moments, but overall not my cup of tea at all. I get that she created a whole new style of writing etc, but after a few pages it just starts to seem self-indulgent.
