Fairly standard Brookmyer. There seem to be a lot of similarities in plot and characterisation (such as it is with Brookmyer anyway) with his previous book (Unsinkable yadda yadda).

That and Iain Banks does it (far, far, far) better in complicity.

Also! A Million Little Pieces has been sitting untouched on my shelf for months, I picked it up t'other day with the intention of starting it but no idea where the idea'd come from. Bet I was subconsciously influenced by this thread.
