| Recommend me a book. I'm running out of books. I've been on a bit of a mission lately to finish reading all the books my favourite authors have written, and I'm almost at that point now, so I need some new ideas.
The authors I read most are Douglas Coupland, Brett Easton Ellis and Chuck Palahnuik. I've read all of their fiction minus Haunted (I've tried, 3 times) and Less Than Zero (which I'm ordering now).

the idea is you put in the books you love and it narrows down choices based on what other people have read.
you can get recommendations on single books, or sign up (for free) and get better suggestions.
for example it recommends these books for fight club:
High Fidelity: A Novel - Nick Hornby
Black Swan Green: A Novel - David Mitchell
Zanzibar - Giles Foden
Travels in a Thin Country: A Journey Through Chile - Sarah Wheeler
The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quioxte De La Mancha Complete in Two Parts a New Translation By Samuel Putnam - Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra
To Cut a Long Story Short - Tony Hadley
War, Baby: The Glamour of Violence - Kevin Mitchell
The Long Round - Dominic Calder-Smith
Just Say the Word - Karen Field
Crossing the River - Caryl Phillips

| Re: Reccomend me a book. Try 'The God of Small Things' by Arundhati Roy. It'd be a big change in style, but I think it's an amazing book. Also, go to the nearest bookshop that does Penguin classics for one or two pounds, and grab a couple at random. You may find something you never thought of trying, and if you don't enjoy them, you only spent enough for a couple of drinks. |

| Re: Reccomend me a book. I didn't read Haunted because it just didn't click, like I said..I've tried a couple of times because I've got every other book he's written sitting on my bookcase, but it's just not happening unfortunately.
Less Than Zero I want to read because I've just read Lunar Park and loved it, and it's the only Ellis book (Well that and the Informers, which is also being ordered) that I've got left to read.
I should probably point out that I have read and enjoyed a lot of other types and styles of books (including a few penguin classics ) the writers I mentioned are my favourites, but I am willing to branch out.
