I'm drumming next week in the Gershwin musical
Crazy for You. it's a fantastic show, with much of that legendary composers finest music represented (
I Got Rhythm, Embracable You, Someone to Watch Over Me... well,
loads!) The original production had Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Gene Krupa and Benny Goodman in the band, which'll give you a pretty good idea of how uncompromisingly jazzy Gershwin was feeling when he wrote it!
It's on at the
Eastwood Park Theatre in giffnock (just next to St Ninian's high school for those who know the south side). Buswise the 38 goes to eastwood toll, or Williamwood train station is a few minutes away. There's a huge car park too.
Shows are at 7:30pm Tues - Sat next week and there's also a Saturday matinee at 2:30pm
