Rivercity Location

I spoke to a couple of people off the forum recently but cant remember who but they said that they have extra'd for Rivercity.

FINALLY got a chance to do it this Saturday but need to know the location. All i know is its an old Warehouse that used to be a Whisky distillary but wondering how far away it is from Dumbarton Station so i know travel wise

Anyone able to help me?

hahaha my mum lives dirctly across from the set.

its a 5 mins walk.

your wanting to go to overburn avenue

turn right out of dumbarton centeral, cross the road you'll see a place called TELL, theres a wee lane beside that that, go through this lane, (right, then left)
you'll come out and see a blaze pitch to the right, floow the road beside this, at the top, you'll see 'dumbarton golf course'

river city is 30 seconds up the road from this

sorry if none of this makes sense

If it's in an old whisky warehouse then your best bet is probably Dumbarton East station.
No idea where they film it though.

In light of what Jen said, I'm undoubtedly wrong.

Sweeeeeet thats what i need, i was told it was the old J&B whisky bonds but there is no information but at least i know its close to a train station.

......now to force myself to get up at 5ish and get the 6.30ish train

I applied to be an extra in that but they were wanting money aff me first. I was like.....eh bolt.

Im with GBM castings - he gets quite a bit of Rivercity stuff through weekly but also United castings through UKTheatre School does a lot of it too.
GBM was about £40 to join but per session of RC is about 50-80£ a day (from what others have told me) but it is 7.45 - 7pm

Extra work is great fun, but the hours are brutal.
Scran is always great though.

shannow speaks the truth about the scran.

i've only done a couple but both times it was night-club scenes so the extras were all 18 year old girls with tiny skirts and leopard print crop tops. which COULD be good but wasn't due to the orangeness of the people in question and the frequency with which they all did the thing of hoiking up their strapless tops. hint: you look like a chicken when you do that, folks

i have had to turn them down because i only get 12 hours notice, this is the first time he's given me longer

but he can text you at any time and offer you a slot on any day but dont mind the long hours. got a few pals who do it which im hoping will be there.
my other pals get better jobs after doing RC a few times and one is doing bbc documentries with speaking parts and also filming a Channel 4 pilot as one of the stars

Aye, with the exception of the Bollywood film i was doing once. I've neevr shat so many times in an hour, and never was it so liquid.
