Like I say, I wanted to love it... I went to see it at an advance Edinburgh Film Festival screen thingy. It looked great, it was really colourful and bold (like a film based on a comic book should look) ...but naw.
Oh, by the way... you wouldn't happen to have seen (I can't believe I'm typing this but...) 'Not Another Teen Movie' by any chance, would you? It has Bikini Kill on the soundtrack... and I believe the main (geeky, natch) girl character says at one point 'I want to be Kathleen Hannah'.
I'm sure there was something else cool about it but I cannae mind... it might have had Elliot Smith or someone else on the soundtrack as well. can't quite recall exactly.
(Shit film though, of course).
