the connection is that voldemort's a half blood and is related to slytherin, hence why she could have called it that. 
meh. i'm about ready to see it over and done with to be honest. it's just become a bit of a thing in my house, my mum's been buying the books for me because she sees its the in cult thing. | |

Apparently the half-blood they're referring to is neither Harry nor Voldemort, according to whoever was sounding forth about it in our common room today (the centre for intellectual debate)
