Basically the only person who can kill Voldemort was born at the end of July to parents who had evaded him 3 times, he'll be marked as a symbol of his future and his destiny is to be decided as killer or be killed. | not so much evaded, as stood up to him.
i think the person in that prophecy is deffo neville....neville kills voldemort, but in turn kills himself also. |

im taking the easy way out. My copy is getting delivered thanks to Amazon on Saturday morning.
Just hope HBP is better that Order of the Phoenix | It should be. CoS was the only 'duff' book in the series I feel.
Said it before and I'll say it again. I don't care it's a 'kids' book, if there isn't a massacre of wizards/Death Eaters in HP 7 I'll be unimpressed.
There's only going to be 1 death in this book, I expect at least a dozen in the last one |

OOTP was good but it was sad when Sirius died because he was my favourite character,it would be good for something along the lines of that to happen again,i think JK Rowling might just come out with something pretty great in this one. |

My Dad (who was a massive HP fan... ) told me Sirius died before I'd got to that part of the book, and I was expecting some kind of big battle or something. Bit disappointed really.
If it's sunny tomo, I'm going to lie in the garden and re-read the fifth book |

| Re: Harry Potter July 16th (Half Blood Prince) Thing I found with OOTP was that it plodded along over explaining everything for most of the book and in the last 3rd it kicked off. If only JK had been less verbose in the 1st 3/4 it would have been a brilliant read.
To date it is my least favourite of the series and the death of Sirius was a case of "blink and you'll miss it".
Hopefully HBP will be back on form again! |

| Re: Harry Potter July 16th (Half Blood Prince) I was reading about how that Canadian bookshop sold 14 copies by accident and they made the people who bought them give them back and they weren't allowed to talk about it or anything, if I had bought one then, I'd have read it and lent it to my friend by the time they found me.
How much is this going for in the shops anyway? |

For example, the last book I read was "goodbye to Berlin" by Christopher Isherwood, which is by all accounts a "proper" book, the next book I read will be the next Harry Potter book. Theres too much litterary snobbery in this world I feel. There are a lot of people I'm sure, who have never read a book before Harry Potter and probably never will after, but then again, there are plenty of well read people, who like Harry Potter because its a simple un pretentious read which allows you to kind of "switch off".
