| Re: Harry Potter July 16th (Half Blood Prince) under a tenner in asda and tesco. i'll wait until i wake up - am not that bad that i'd wake my kids up at midnight and drag them to the 24 hour tesco...
i find this an opportune moment to restate my belief that snape is Harrys real dad. star wars-esque twist.
(harrys mum liked/felt pity for snape, didn't initially like James...seeing as we will progressively deal with more adult themes, it's entirely possible they 'did it'...harrys mum ( can't remember her name....) was a witch, any (continually stated) resemblence to james Potter is the result of a spell. plus, Harry keeps finding out his dad wasn't really a very nice person ( bullying snape etc..) so it's not a huge leap to muddy his parentage a bit. )

| Re: Harry Potter July 16th (Half Blood Prince) *gasps* Violet!!! Oooh, in a strange way I hope that's true...
One thing I like about the HP books is that Draco and co do keep getting their comeuppance, which is very cool.
And I agree with Neil. too, I've recently read Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities, am reading Mansfield Park at the mo along with Steven Pinker's The Language Instinct, but must admit for the last 3 weeks have been reading as much HP as I can get my hands on 'cos I'm so excited!!!!! But we're having a party tomorrow so I probably won't get to start reading HBP until Sunday... Boo..... Although I have on countless occasions suggested that we have a "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" reading performance art installation... I think it would be quite cool, people could bring me drinks and food....

| Re: Harry Potter July 16th (Half Blood Prince) Hahahahaha Snape as Harrys real father, now that would be good.
Im not a big book reader but with HP i cant put it down,i finished the 5th book in 2 days which is really really good for me
I dont like Draco and co getting their comupance all the time its too cliched, that the baddies never win,i think JK should go for something really good in this matter, maybe Draco and co getting one over on Harry and co for a change, then it would make it more exciting plus it would be different than the usual goodies winning all the time. |

| Re: Harry Potter July 16th (Half Blood Prince) I think Malfoy will go emo and turn 'goody' to bring down his dad and co. I'm going to put my money on the table and say it's him that gets killed in the new book, protecting Harry. |
