I'll give this a bash too although I'll probably end up keeping a list elsewhere.

If anyone's looking for an easy dozen or so to get their numbers up I recommend the Lemony Snicket Unfortunate Events books, yeah they're for kids but they're well good.

Clockwork Orange wasn't banned in book form was it? It's real horrorshow at any rate.

Re: The Fifty Book Challenge

Never banned in Britain, banned in a few other European countries though (The fascist connotations were a bit too brazen for the German government of the time for instance.) and a good few states in the good ol us of a.

I really like that book, it's one of my faves of his. I just remember reading the very end on a really sunny day in Kelvingrove: everyone else was laughing and lounging about but I was on the verge of tears.

Finished the Francie & Josie scripts yesterday and am continuing with Gene Simmons' Autobiography. Hopefully I'll get that and 6 or 7 more licked by February
