| Re: This week practice I (jack black) play drums
Honestly, I like the difference in singing style to the music, slightly different to what else is around these days, so sorry for trying to be original.
And the harmonising?
Works well when done right

| Re: This week practice Yeah no offence harmonising ala Beatles does work well but stick to what the sound needs. See the third song Street Cinerella, that sounds cool like you've got it altogether. The singer needs a kick up the arse though because she sounds good but she's not releasing all her energy so fix yourself little girl

So instead of having music in both ears, I have it in one, so I AM a bit unsure sometimes.

| Re: This week practice This is something that was on my mind today regarding singers. It's very easy for even shy people to sing a song but to express real energy someone has to go outwith themself and not care about the reaction off other people. I get what you're saying about doing it live cause then you have an audience to communicate with. I don't know though how to release all that energy when practising alone. I don't sing, I'm just imagining it

You do need a better reason than that, especially when it sounds cool in one song but not in the other, that's nothing to do with perception apart from the one in your head not your ears. Maybe you just need better music to express yourself

Maybe you just need better music to express yourself | I think you willl find that one of those songs we have been playing for ages, one for about 2weeks before we recorded and one about a month and a bit, so These Days the singing is top notch because Rach has sang it god knows how many times where as the other 2 we all were still not completely happy playing.

| Re: This week practice The more I listen to your MySpace stuff the more I realise that you're actually a cool band and regards the vocalist I do think she has some original style especially when she sings the word easy she twists it round. That song sounds a bit like The Cure like a fast version of Fascinating Street bass

| Re: This week practice Yeah I know what you mean about These Days. She really is a good singer, I think maybe she needs a better recording device because sometimes you can't hear her and as I said before I think she has to let herself go a bit more but still keep her own style. I was thinking about someting else today about thinking outside the box and what it means and I think it means when someone is completely original and they only think about what's on their minds and if someone like a producer trys to make them something else they might lose it. Because when someone is in the box they only think about what the rules other people have made say

| Re: This week practice Wow I love your voice and phrasing it just gets better and better and I hate it because you're distracting me from the main point, Blaine's guitar playing! I don't have anything to slagg him off with yet oh my he's probably amazing
