| Re: Acoustic Song I prefered Stars to the other one, but I felt Stars went on a bit too long. And I agree with Eve_Bulloch that they weren't really acoustic tracks. However, if they were recorded with acoustic guitars they'd instantly jump up the ladder. Either that or add drums and bass. |

| Re: Acoustic Song I'll poke Ian about guitar related things.
Aye, stars is the one I did at open mic.
It was really just to pop up something else while we wait on getting a proper demo done, they're not meant to be anything more than nice wee ditties.

tune the guitars, change the panning, intonation, high parts not sitting right. stop talking like your reading quotes out of college music course workbook, in the words of Mr T, "quit your jibba jabba fool".
both tracks rock | heh heh, I'm giving you my feedback as someone who's an experienced player and performer.. not someone who swallows textbooks And I meant effects as a production measure, not plugging a pedal into your guitar. Play around with whatever you're using to record and spend a little time on the mixdown.
Seriously, wee things like that make a huuuge difference to the overall quality. I wasn't slagging the songwriting or the musical ability, just explaining that it's easy to get a much more professional sound with a few wee tips and tricks. |

Basically it was just to have something new up on the myspace like I said before - we were supposed to record a demo a few weeks ago but the guy didnt turn up, we just did this ourselves. Quote:
