| Re: Acoustic Song Not a bad wee tune, the production needs work in my opinion.
Tune the guitars, the main one is out just enough to notice. Failing that, check the intonation as some of the parts played higher up the neck aren't sitting right. I'd be inclined to pull the guitar that's panning right back in the mix a bit and get some nice echoey delay on it. Just wee things, but i think you could a big difference to the overall quality with a few simple steps.
Polish it my good man, polish! |

haha its an acoustic track, why would you put guitar effects on it, that defeats the whole purpose of it being acoustic.
tune the guitars, change the panning, intonation, high parts not sitting right. stop talking like your reading quotes out of college music course workbook, in the words of Mr T, "quit your jibba jabba fool".
both tracks rock |

You'd think someone of your age and alledged experience would have actual advice for young bands, but I guess it's easier for you to continue coming across as a deliberately childish twat.

| Re: Acoustic Song You spoiled that by not reading Madcap Lizards post properly, he wasn't giving useful advice at all. He was pointlessly attacking what he wrongly interpreted as Chris slagging his favouritest wee rock band.
I didn't think either of the tracks were particularly inspirational, it all sounds like very harmless easy-listening rock to me (And Stars sounds weirdly like an acoustic Reuben track whose names currently escapes me.) and that puts me off pretty much instantly. Nothing wrong with that mind, they could sound like the best True Viking Metal band in the world and it would still put me off as that type of music is not to my taste.

| Re: Acoustic Song Wow, you mean it doesn't hurt every time someone doesn't enjoy the music you make?
I'll have to give that a try.
In other news, Als a bitter old man who gets a kick out of trying to make other people feel as bad as he does. There is no way to engage his childishness that doesn't bring you down to his level of maturity. Ignore. Quote:

I did actually consider just posting the words 'useless drivel' mind you... but a picture paints a thousand words..

| Re: Acoustic Song Call me a tit, but it doesn't really sound acoustic at all. Just a track without drums and bass? Are those guitars even acoustic?
If they are then they don't sound like it to me.
Apart from that I like it. Did you sing this at the Open Mic? I totally recognise the chorus.
