| Re: Season 3 - US Great but peculiar twist at the end.
One earlier podcast confirmed Jack's dad IS dead.
Early next year for season 4 - they sure know how to torture people.

| Re: Season 3 - US If Jack's dad is dead then why did Jack say to the new surgeon guy for him to get him down there and if he was drunker than his Dad then he could fire him.
I also thought Jack said 'either' when asked about being a friend or family. |

| Re: Season 3 - US Jack was having a drunk, nervous breakdown. That and the writers wanted you to really think it was a flashback.
Jack said "neither", I though. |

| Re: Season 3 - US I read Quote: |
Taken from BuddyTV.com - New characters are scheduled to begin appearing on the island who are neither others nor plane folk. It has been alluded to many times that this third group is far more terrifying in nature than the monster, and probably more powerful than our others.
| So i reckon that the flash forwards are one episode only just to get us thinking what the hell is so terrifying that Jack wants to go back and if this infor is correct obviousley the third group of people are the people that Jack contacted with the Radio that obviously Ben already knows about and is shit scared of them coming to the island.
So reckon next season will still be set on island and as said the flash forwards is a one episode thing.
Feck knows really, away to see what other rumours are flying about. |

| Re: Season 3 - US They defo confirmed elsewhere Season 4 would bring new characters - I think it may be Dharma workers. The island needs to be explored further - like the statue (feet), the smoke etc. Then of course, it appeared Penny had her own crew who were going in search of Desmond, so they might still show up.
Says executive producer Damon Lindelof, "Charlie's death is indicative of a whole new kind of feel surrounding the show. Charlie's death is the beginning of the end, as it were."
The Funeral Parlour name (Hoffs/Drawlar) is an anagram of "Flash Forward" BTW.

| Re: Season 3 - US I only got to see the last couple of episodes last week but I thought the flash forward was a nice twist at the end. With Jack now having contact a new group of people it opens up a ot of interesting story lines.
I'm curious as to who had died that jack went to the viewing of.

| Re: Season 3 - US finally managed to rent the series 3 as i was one of the poor ones that lost out due to the virgin media/sky feud and had only seen first 6 episodes. i have to say although i enjoyed it, i was finding that i was getting a bit bored at points. i just felt some episodes were lvery repetitive. what has made me enjoy has been the few glimmers of humour that we had for instance the episode where hurley found the van and the banter with sawyer etc was great.
mainly i enjoy the scenes of the regulars from season 1. these are welcome breaks from all the whats going on stuff and the reason i really got into it to start with. i love charcter building and realationship building in shows so i also loved the episode with the revelation of loches dad/ sawyers revenge and how heartbreaking sawyers reaction was to it all.
i also loved the last 3 episodes and was very upset at the end as charlie was one of my favourite characters. what i thought was touching was the scenes leading up to the death with him and desmond in the boat and when he was writing his list for claire.
thats what i have always felt was so good about lost. you really care about so many of the characters due to how well they have been developed and its like watching your friends get have fun, get hurt.
my predictions for next season, i really dont have a clue! i have to say i have felt from the beginning that loche is bad news and hes gonna take down a few regulars i feel he is somehow a centre to many things. i really hope they do away with so much of the others cause quite frankly, this was what bored me .

| Re: Season 3 - US I read a theory somewhere and this is my take on it (I'll find the link later)
Spoilers (obviously)
- the flash forward at the end with Jack and Kate. The theory put forward was that the Dharma initiative have control over time (i.e Mitteloss) and that Jack and Kate were allowed to escape the island under the precedence of their previous actions being undone. Like, Kate didn't blow up her stepdad etc and the chain of events didn't go into motion that put her on the flight. This could be the "he" that she refers to when she says "he'll be wondering where I am", bearing in mind how controlling he was. This would also explain why Jack's fathers coffin was empty early in Season One, as in, he didn't die so Jack didn't have to go to Australia to claim his body. It could also explain why the guy refers to Jack being a hero "twice", as in getting his wife to walk again and rescuing the people from the car crash at the start of the episode. Surely if they were aware of the Oceanic flight he'd be a hero three times? But aye there, just an idea. |
