Am I right in thinking the writers only wanted it to be a single season but the studio demanded more due to the investment they put in and the popularity? Explains why season one was like watching 2 different shows as the intention was to bring the thing to a conclusion at the end of that season. I get irritated when studios ruin what should be good shows just to eek out every bit of money from an idea - it usually just means what starts as something good ends up being weak and dull.

Its the best news man. Its 3 seasons of 16 eps so it is actually 5 seasons in total which the writers wanted from the get go.

I was about to say that.
And the fact that it's been given a set end date this early means that the story should be paced far better than if it were open-ended, with the finalé only beind decided once ratings start to fall.

Season 3 has been better than Season 2 of late, but I don't know if it can be maintained.

Heard from the beginning 5 was the plan

Seen on E! News last week that the scriptwriters have been told to get the next two seasons wrote to wrap up the prog.

Season 3 was hit and miss at the start for me, it's picking up now because it feels like we're learning stuff but I don't think it's sustainable for another 3 seasons. I have a feeling I'll have stopped watching it by then.

I've been saying I'll stop watching it since season one though.

Glad there's a definite end in sight though, should bring some much-needed structure back.

As long as they keep it as good as season three has been in my opinion I can deal with three more seasons of sixteen episodes.

yeh the more questions answered the better it gets. The only reason i still watch it is the small hope that there'll eventually be one big explained answer that totaly satisfies me.

i realise tho, in reality thats prob not gonna happen now. theres just too many loose ends.
