Any theories on the Polar Bear in Tunisia? Time travel, alternate dimension... some kind of ancient supernatural phenomenon/cult?
This is why I hate Lost

Cuse said he's happy with the outcome of the strike and can't wait to go back to his day job on "Lost."
"We're going to have to hit the ground running, go from zero to 100 mph in a matter of days to make as many episodes as possible," he said.
The goal for Cuse and co-showrunner Damon Lindelof is to produce five more episodes this season, a tall order given the time constraints and the scope of storytelling and production on "Lost." Even with five additional hours, Cuse and Lindelof will be three episodes short of the premapped fourth season. "We will have to condense some stories," Cuse said. | http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/...e855a2e1ad8636

| Re: Season 4: US Schedule. Catchup from the last episode:
Jack and Kate meet Daniel Faraday, a physicist and one of four people from the freighter. He asks for their help in tracking the other three team members via their GPS transponders. While searching the jungle, they come across a container from the helicopter which contains gas masks. Daniel can't explain the gas masks, but can only tell them that rescue isn't their primary objective. They eventually find Miles Straume, who is a real asshole, but Sayid and Juliet disarm the freighter duo. The group find the helicopter pilot, Frank Lapidus, who landed the helicopter intact. Miles eventually tells them that they've come to the island for Benjamin Linus. Elsewhere on the island, Locke tells his group that Walt told him to stop Naomi from bringing her people to the island. Walt healed him and he shows off the bullet wounds. They find the fourth freighter member, Charlotte Lewis, and take her hostage. Ben shoots Charlotte, but she survives thanks to her bullet-proof vest. Locke decides it's time for Ben to die as Ben tries to persuade Locke to stop by offering up information. He doesn't know what the smoke monster is, but gives detailed information about the people from the freighter. He knows who they are thanks to a mole on their freighter.
Meanwhile, IN THE PAST, we catch some glimpses into the lives of the four freighters. Daniel likes to cry, Miles is a psychic ghost buster, Charlotte is an anthropologist who was at an excavation of a polar bear skeleton from the Hydra in Tunisia, Frank was supposed to be the pilot of Oceanic 815 on the day it crashed, and Naomi is a merc who was hired by the mysterious Matthew Abaddon to protect the other four.
Tonight's episode: Sayid and Kate try to negotiate for Locke's hostage, whom they think might be the key to getting off the island.
Happy Valentines Day: e:
Found this map of the island and thought I'd post it up here.
Sort of derived from the 'painting'.
But: Quote: |
The map has quite a few problems. The Hydra should probably be north of the island, otherwise Sayid would likely have seen it when he left the survivor's back in season one. The Pala Ferry should be on the other side of the island with the statue and the fake DHARMA station. The Staff is waaaaay out of position, seeing as how the survivors could get to it and back in well less than a day, whereas the Flame is a two-day journey. The Flame's position doesn't make much sense, either, seeing as how we saw it butted up against a mountain. The Pearl should be closer to the Pala Ferry. The Black Rock is apparently up in the mountains according to the map.

| Re: Season 4: US Schedule. Catchup from the last episode:
Sayid strikes a deal with Frank: passage to the freighter in exchange for the safe return of Charlotte. He goes to the barracks with Kate and Miles. There he discovers a hidden room in Ben's house with currency from different countries and various passports. The three are ambushed by Locke's group, but Sayid trades Miles for Charlotte. At the helicopter, Daniel tries out an experiment by having a rocket launched from the freighter to their position. It arrives 31 minutes and 18 seconds after the freighter said it should have arrived; this worries Daniel. Sayid arrives with Charlotte; Kate decided to stay behind. Frank agrees to take Sayid, Desmond and Naomi's body to the freighter. Daniel warns him to stay on the same bearing they came in on, no matter what. Meanwhile, IN THE FUTURE, Sayid is one of the Oceanic Six. He's also a hitman for Ben. In Berlin, Sayid woos Elsa, the assistant to a mysterious economist who is Sayid's new target. He eventually falls in love with her, but gets shot as Elsa knows who he is and was trying to get information out of him. Before she can bring Sayid in, she's shot and killed by him. Sayid gets his wounds treated by Ben who tells him neither Elsa or her employers deserve their sympathies. He shouldn't have to remind Sayid what Elsa's people did the last time he thought with his heart instead of his gun, and asks Sayid if he wants to protect his friends or not. He has another name for Sayid, but Sayid tells him they know he's coming for them. Ben tells him, "Good." Tonight's episode: Kate's need to get information out of the hostage may jeopardize her standing with Locke — as well as with Sawyer. |
