| Season 4: Spoilers. We'll start with Episode 5, but throw anything else in here too. Quote: When Frank Lapidus stears the helicopter straight into a thunderstorm at a bearing of 325, Desmond experiences unexpected side effects (look for a twist on the “Flashes Before Your Eyes” formula). Daniel Faraday appears in this episode as a professor of physics at Oxford. He will be a feature player in Desmond’s flashes. We’re also going to learn a little bit about Frank Lapidus that will surprise us, he does have a soft spot for happy couples and may know a thing or two about how to ‘reach out and touch’ someone. The people onboard the freighter are not the warm and welcoming sort. Not all of them anyways. Desmond jumps/timetravels to a location near the port of Fiji. He seems to be expected there and is caught by two men: Keamy from Vegas, and Omar from Florida. They lock him up in a room and are going to get "the doc" to ask him some questions. In the room George Minkowski is lying tied up in a bed and he asks if "it" is happening to Desmond, too?
On the beach, Jack and Juliet are worrying about the helicopter that has been missing for day. Juliets notices that Charlotte and Daniel are not so worried, even though the freighter is only 40 miles away - 20 minutes of flying. Against Charlotte's advice, Daniel admits that the perception of time on the Island might be different than the time experienced of the Island. He says that as long Frank uses the variables that were given to him, the people on the helicopter should be fine. If not, there could be "side-effects". | Some screen-grabs that have been leaked of episode 5: http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/9...ighter1yc0.jpg http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/9...ighter2do0.jpg http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/3...ighter3ze3.jpg http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/3...ighter4qv1.jpg http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/3...ighter5mz6.jpg http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/5...ighter6wx6.jpg http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/9...ighter7zn8.jpg |

| Re: Season 4: Spoilers. Some spoilers with Michael: Quote: | On the less speculative side of things is the appearance of photographs from afar of Michael (Harold Perrineau) being filmed on a freighter. Yes, freighters figure quite prominently into Lost at this point. Michael is without Walt and seems to be throwing something in the water. Is this the same freighter that Naomi’s people are on? Could this be a flashback to Michael’s escape from the grip of the island? All I know for sure is that I discussed the spoiler with a prominent figure in the world of spoilers and he felt the info was too hot to handle. I, obviously, do not. | Follow this link for a picture. |

Originally Posted by Syxx Tenner says he's the captain, love to know how they'll explain that one but still. | Well, someone on the freighter opened the medical bay door for them in the last episode. I'd figured it was just Frank (since he seemed to be willing to help; gave Sayid the phone etc).
Anyway, here's some stuff from the previews of the next episode 4.06: Quote: Sun is helping Juliet build a shelter on the beach as Jack comes asking after Daniel and Charlotte. They've disappeared. Jin comes forward and mention they went of to the jungle. As Jack asks why he didn't tell anybody, Jin answers (in English): “you said they were friends?”. Sun: "Aren't they?"
It is night and it is raining, and Juliet is standing in the jungle where she is confronted by Harper. Harper says she bringing a message from Ben: Daniel and Charlotte are going to The Tempest and if they figure out how to 'deploy the gas' everyone is going to die. As Juliet's asks why Harper doesn't stop them herself, Harper answers that it is Ben's wish that Juliet does it, and although Ben is a prisoner he's exactly where he wants to be. Harper says that Juliet must kill Daniel and Charlotte. The conversation is interrupted by Jack who pointing his gun at Harper and demanding to know who she is. She says she is an old friend of Juliet’s and she was telling her where the people they are looking for are headed and that Jack with his gun should go there too. Then she suddenly disappears. After a bit of vainly looking around Juliet conveys what she has been told. Jack: "The Tempest"? Juliet: "It’s safer for you if I don’t talk about it." Jack: "No, talk about it please." Juliet: "It’s an electrical station that powers the island." Jack: "Why would they go there? He confronts her: “If there’s something you need to tell me, now is the time to do it.” Juliet is almost crying: “What I need from you is to help me, you must help me.” She then walks away.
Daniel and Charlotte are pausing near a stream in the jungle. Daniel has doubts about something: “What happens if I…. if I can’t do it”? Charlotte makes Dan looking her in the face. She says she is convinced that he can do it and that they should get going. Daniel seems convinced. Then suddenly Kate shows up. Charlotte draws her pistol but Daniel assures her that Kate poses no threat. Kate tells them about Miles, that Locke has him but that he is fine. After Kate asks what they are doing out there in the jungle, Charlotte tells a lie about a satphone running out of juice and that they volunteered to get some fresh batteries from the packs they threw out of the chopper. Kate gets suspicious and wants to know what is in Daniel’s bag? After discovering it’s an gas mask, Kate is knocked unconscious by Charlotte.
Ben is still taunting Locke. He say's there will a revolution if Locke followers will find out that Locke doesn't have a plan. Locke inquires if Ben has a plan himself? Ben: "I always have a plan". Locke: Does it involve you raising 3.2 million dollars"?
Ben: “We have a common enemy.”
Claire: “We have to find out who these people are!”
An alarm is sounding, Daniel is dressed in a hazard suit and working on a computer. Juliet pulls a gun: “Whatever he is doing, tell him to stop!” Charlotte (also in a hazard suit): “If you want to stop this, you have to shoot us both!” After the countdown, the computer screen has the following text: Code: MASTER CAUTION & WARNING
NEW ALARM
TES3/31 VAPOR PRESSURE 100%
CONTAINMENT BREACH IMMINENT!
EVACUATE NON-ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL

| Re: Season 4: Spoilers. Some brand new Lindlof/Cuse spoilers: Quote: Some highlight's from this morning's Q&A at the National Assn. of Broadcasters confab with "Lost" stewards Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse.
We will find out more back story as to why the late Libby was in the same mental hospital with Hurley, prior to the plane crash, and presumably after she gave her boat to Desmond for the race.
Will we at some point catch up with Emma and Zack, the two kids from the tail section group of survivors who were kidnapped by the Others in season 2's "The Other 48 Days."
To the question of whether we'll ever see Katey Sagal's Helen character (Locke's former flame) again, Darlton indicated that they hoped so.
To the question of whether the DeGroots, the hirsute couple who founded the Dharma Initiative, are still alive, Cuse and Lindelof paused a bit and then pressed for more specificity on the time frame of the question. As of where the time line of "Lost" will be when the series returns on April 24, Darlton would only say: "One of them is."
Lindelof let it be known that in a recent episode when one of the castaways (Locke? Hurley? Sawyer? I can't remember offhand) asked Ben if he knew what the island's smoke monster really was and Ben responded that he didn't know -- big lie. "Ben was lying about the smoke monster," Lindelof said.
And once again, Darlton made it clear that they do in fact have a blueprint for the series, stem to stern, and that "the last scene has been in our heads for a long period of time."
More to come from the sesh, which mostly focused on big-picture business issues and production processes, once I transcribe the tape. | |
