This Episode: Sayid confronts Ben's spy on the freighter, and Ben urges daughter Alex to flee Locke's camp in order to survive an impending attack. Catch-up from last episode: On the freighter, Sayid and Desmond are slipped a note telling them to not trust the captain. Things aren't going well with the crew as the close proximity to the island seems to be fucking with their minds. One of the crew members, Regina, throws herself overboard and the captain orders the men to not rescue her. He takes Sayid and Desmond to his cabin and shows them the recovered Oceanic 815 black box, obtained at great expense by Charles Widmore. He wants Benjamin Linus as it must have taken incredible resources to produce a fake Oceanic 815 with 324 dead bodies onboard. The doctor shows Sayid and Desmond to their cabin, which still has blood splatter on the bulkhead from a prior suicide. The doc orders Kevin Johnson to clean it up. Sayid discovers that Kevin Johnson is Michael Dawson. On the island, Jin wants to name their baby Ji Yeon, but Sun doesn't want to discuss it as it's bad luck. The people return from the Tempest and Kate tells Sun how Charlotte and Daniel were at a poison gas factory and Juliet lied about it to Jack. Sun begins to no longer trust Juliet or the freighter people and decides to go to Locke's camp with Jin. Juliet tries to stop her and is forced to reveal to Jin that Sun had an affair. Jin has a heart-to-heart with Bernard and decides to forgive Sun. Sun talks to Juliet and decides she's telling the truth about island pregnancy and has to get off the island. Meanwhile,
IN THE PAST, Jin buys a massive panda for a newborn baby. He eventually gets it to the hospital where it turns out it's to be a gift from Mr. Paik to a Chinese ambassador in order to help secure a business deal in China. Meanwhile,
IN THE FUTURE, Sun gets off the island and gives birth to a healthy baby girl, Ji Yeon. Hurley visits her in South Korea and the two visit a grave marker for Jin. The marker lists his date of death as September 22, 2004, which is the date of the crash.
Future Schedule: With the writer's strike over, season four has been shortened from 16 episodes to 13 episodes. The "missing" three episodes will be included somewhere in the following two seasons, so we're not losing them. The current block of eight episodes will air entirely, there will be a four-week break, then the next five episodes will begin on April 24 and run until the season finale on May 22.
