Cocktails inspired by the show.

[Cross-posted 'cos I know you guys love your alcohol, and Lost.]

John Locke's Trifle (Click here to see what Terry "Locke" O'Quinn thought of the drink!)

So called because it tastes like trifle and after a few, you cant walk either.

Ingredients:
  • Vodka 100ml
  • Coconut Rum 50ml
  • Cranberry + Raspberry 200ml (I use ocean spray)
  • Orange Juice 50ml
  • Ice
How to Make:

Put some ice in the cocktail shaker and pour the ingredients in. Pour in 100ml of Vodka and then 50ml of Coconut Rum. The shaker should be somewhere between a third and half full, depending on how much ice you put in. Then add about 200ml of cranberry+raspberry juice - or most of the way to the top of the shaker, then top up with orange juice.

Shake well and strain into cocktail glass. Toast to John Locke and drink.

Charlie's Greatest Hits

So called because you can drown yourself with it and reminisce of times gone by.

Ingredients:
  • Cherry Brandy - 1 shot
  • Bacardi Razz - 1 shot
  • Coca Cola
  • Ice
How to Make:

Grab a cocktail shaker if you're making a few, pour in 4 shots of cherry brandy, four shots of Bacardi Razz (that's the raspberry Bacardi). Add some ice, shake it up.

Grab a highball or collins glass, add ice. Pour in a shot of the mixture and add coke to the top. Stir, toast to Charlie and enjoy.

Hurley's Jackpot ( Click Here to see what Jorge "Hurley" Garcia thought of the drink!)

The reasons behind the name are obvious if you're a Lost fan

Ingredients:
  • Triple Sec - 4 shots
  • Cherry Brandy - 8 shots
  • Melon Liqueur - 15 shots
  • Coconut Rum - 16 shots
  • Cranberry - 23 shots
  • Orange + Banana - 42 shots
How to Make:

Take a 2L jug and add in some ice. Pour in 4 shots of triple sec, 8 of cherry brandy, 15 of melon liqueur, 16 of coconut rum, 23 of Cranberry juice and 42 of Orange and banana juice.

Pour into a cocktail shaker one at a time, shake with ice and then serve over ice as a long drink. Do be careful with this one as it contains 43 units of alcohol and WILL result in a stomach pump if you drink it all yourself.

A friend and I shared a jug and we have total memory loss of the previous night.

Long Con and Tonic
  • Gin - 1 shot
  • Southern Comfort - 1 shot
  • Coca-cola
  • Tonic Water
  • Ice
How To Make

Take a highball glass and add ice. Put in one shot of Gin and another shot of Southern Comfort. Fill the remainder of the glass with about 2/3 tonic water and 1/3 coke (or as desired).

Give it a quick stir. Toast to Sawyer and drink.

who made these up?!!!

baby jesus wept. Seriously.

What's the obsession with using coke, and what's with the lack of citrus fruit or gomme of any variety?!

The last one's just mushing a gin and tonic and a soco and coke together , and the jug ones just plain stupid irresponsible measures.

Aye, strange lack of fruit for a show set on a tropical island.

it's one of a series of flavoured rums that bacardi released in a desperate attempt to try suck in the 18 - 25ish age group.

We have bacardi Berry and Bacardi apple in the pub. I'm assuming that Bacardi Razz is perhaps the new and improved "hip" cool name for Bacardi Berry
The whole range is white rum blended with things, no golden or dark rum. It's not THAT bad, but the advertsiing campaign over here failed miserably and no one buys it or has ever heard of it.

IMHO it's never going to be as good as a cocktail made from a good quality rum and fresh fruit / flavoured gommes etc. Much like the premixed bags of cocktails you buy. HUGE taste difference.

The Bacardi Apple though surprised me by not being terrible with lemonade
