Tonight's episode:
Locke's camp comes under attack, and Jack tries to discover the identity of a body that has washed ashore. Schedule Change: During the hiatus Lindelof and Cuse struck a deal with ABC to get an additional hour this season.
Previously on Lost...: Locke and Ben reveal to Locke's group that the people on the freighter are after Ben and will kill everyone else on the island once they have him. Ben tells Alex to go to a secret DHARMA station and place of sanctuary, the Temple, with Karl and Rousseau. He believes Widmore's men would use her against him. The three leave for the Temple but are ambushed in the jungle by silenced submachinegun fire. Karl is killed, Rousseau is wounded and Alex captured. On the freighter, Sayid and Desmond confront Michael and learn how he got to the freighter. Sayid takes Michael to Captain Gault's cabin and blows Michael's cover. Meanwhile,
IN THE PAST, Michael and Walt successfully make it off the island and go to Manhattan. But Michael couldn't live with the guilt of what he did to free Walt and told him, resulting in Walt resenting him and he goes off to live with his grandmother. Neither Michael or Walt will tell her what happened and are living under false identities. Michael tries to commit suicide and fails, but sees an apparition of Libby in the hospital. He later pawns off Jin's watch to get a handgun, but is met by Tom before he can pull the trigger. Tom tells him that the island won't let him die and tells him where to find him once he figures that out. Michael later tries to blow his brains out, but the gun won't fire. He meets with Tom and learns fake wreckage of Oceanic 815 was dropped into a deep ocean trench by Charles Widmore. Widmore wants to find the island and will kill everyone on it once he does. Tom gives him a new identity, Kevin Johnson, in order to infiltrate Widmore's freighter which is going to be dispatched to locate the island. The Others want him to kill everyone on it. Onboard the freighter, Michael has second thoughts but witnesses a group of men doing target practice on the deck; they refuse to tell him why they're so heavily armed for a rescue mission. Michael opens a package from the Others which contains a large bomb. He activates it in the engine room, but an apparition of Libby appears again and she tells him not to do it. Michael presses the button, but a message pops up which reads, "not yet." Michael receives a call from Ben. Ben will do what he needs to do to win, but he won't kill innocent people. There are innocent people on the freighter who know nothing about the man Widmore truly is. Michael is told to compile a list of the names of everyone on the freighter, give it to Ben, then destroy the communications equipment and disable the engines.
