| New ARG: Post Season 4. Advert during the season finale for Octagon Global Recruitment starts off a new Lost ARG. Here is the link: http://octagonglobalrecruiting.com/ and I'll update this thread if and when I find anything else, and I ask that you all do the same.
Here is the advert that was shown, that is also on the website:
The advert and site show that they are looking for the following positions: - Meteorologists
- Psychologists
- Parapsychologists
- Zoologists
- Physicists
- Mathematicians
- Botanical Researchers
- Engineers
- Builders
- Drivers
- Health Care Workers
- Communication Specialists
- Neuroscientists
- Janitors
- Engineers
- Biologists
- Astrophysicists
- Ex-Military
- Electricians
- Vets
- IVF Consultants
- Teachers
- Architects
- Ichthyologists
- Transport Mechanics
- Immunologists
- Nurses
- Illustrators
- Auditors
- Minibus Drivers
- Recycling Coordinators
- Aeronautical Engineers
- Horticulturists
- Dentists
As you'll notice I've made bold the first letter of each position, and if you read it from the bottom up it spells out, "Dharma Initiative," and you can see that 'engineers' is listed twice. The first four jobs: Meteorologists, Psychologists, Parapsychologists, and Zoologists are also the first four areas of research for the Dharma Initiative mentioned by Marvin Candle in the Swan Orientation film.
At the end of the video, a person can be seen typing the numbers 8 15 16 on the keyboard. Of course you also have that the logos of the DHARMA Initiative are octagons. |

I've registered my interest with my e-mail address, but I can't see me going to the Comic Con and I hope to Christ this isn't as bad as the one with that Rachel Blake burd travelling about. |

RE: SECURITY BREACH AT COMIC-CON 2008 As many of you may be aware there have been a number of security breaches in recent days related to the nature of the Dharma Initiative's latest research. Apart from the leak of a sensitive internal communication there was also the unauthorized release of confidential video documentation during a sponsored panel discussion with the makers of the TV show "LOST" at Comic-Con 2008 in San Diego. Consequently, the person responsible for this breach, a promising recruit by the name of Dan Bronson, has been expelled from the volunteer program and had his Dharma Initiative membership permanently revoked. Furthermore, the Dharma Initiative has withdrawn their sponsorship from "LOST". The Dharma Initiative must stress that the video material leaked at Comic-Con 2008 was viewed entirely out of context. Furthermore, the way in which the material was presented utterly distorted its significance and credibility as scientific data. The Dharma Initiative is extremely disappointed with this outcome and has ordered a security audit of all departments. As part of this audit the DharmaWantsYou recruiting website will undergo a security upgrade in the next few days. Upon completion of this upgrade a date will be announced for the official commencement of Volunteer Assessments. All recruits are reminded that the unauthorized release of confidential information pertaining to the details of your activities within the Dharma Initiative will result in instant dismissal from the volunteer program. Namaste.

| Re: New ARG: Post Season 4. Oh, the video that was 'leaked', by the way:
Transcript: Quote:
Dr. Chang: Hello. My name is Dr. Marvin Candle, and I....you know what? Forget it. No point in games anymore, right? (infant begins to cry off-screen) If you're watching this now, you already know that my name – my real name is Pierre Chang and I... (Baby's cries off-screen grow louder and Chang looks over. He gets up from the couch.)
Dr. Chang: Dammit Lara, just take him outside, please! I have one chance at this. (Chang sits back down.) [static]
Dr. Chang: [static] I am the professor of theoretical astrophysics from Ann Arbor, Michigan. I was brought to this... [static] godforsaken island years ago, to conduct experiments to study the Kerr metric solution of the Einstein field equations, and to... [static] If I can keep this pinhole open long enough, you should be receiving my message roughly thirty years... [static] If you're... [static] The American president is a man named George W. Bush, you share digital information instantaneously on something called "Internet" and, unfortunately, my colleagues and I are all dead [static] a kind of... [static], of violent purge. One that we are, apparently, powerless to escape. (Chang looks down sadly at his left arm, and grasps it with his right hand.)
Dr. Chang: [static] This information comes to me from a source that has proven himself to be credible.
Off-screen Voice: None of that matters. It doesn't matter. Just get to it. Please! [static]
Dr. Chang: Regardless, (another male voice in static) if this transmission is successful, it's proof the work I've been doing here is valid. This place, it has extraordinary properties. I'm begging you, no matter what's happened, it's imperative that the DHARMA Initiative be reconstituted. You have to continue the research [static] and you have to do it now. Time is not just of the essence, it is the essence. Perhaps you'll be able to find a way to save us, to change the past and to... [static] Please, you have to stop what's about to happen, you can't let it...[static]
Off-screen Voice: This is useless! Alright? It's just useless. They'll never gonna see this, Pierre. How do I turn this off?
Dr. Chang: No, no! W-w-what are you doing?
Off-screen Voice: How do you turn it off?
Dr. Chang: No! What are you doing? [static]
| I'm pretty sure the cameraman is Faraday - doesn't it sound awfully like him? |

| Re: New ARG: Post Season 4. That sounds 99% like wee Jeremy Davies. Fuck - I reckon when this ARG gets off the ground it'll easily be the best yet. Excited!
OT: My pal served one of the costume designers from Lost in Levis the other day. He asked what the smoke monster was - the dude didn't know, haha.
