Hi, my name is Angela, mummy to Robyn age 5 months.
I am looking to start up or join a parent group, one for mummys and daddys who wanna meet up and get some adult conversation with people like them. So far every group I have been to have been full of 19 year old tarty wee girls who couldn't care less about their kids just wanna find out who they can dump them on to go out and get trashed at Archaos or whereever the devil children go these days.
I'm calling the alterna-mummies, people we can meet up with, take our kids
places, museums, parks, the christmas show at the Citz.
My boyfriend is out at work all day and I know there must be other people in my situation. So if you're looking to meet up with some people who can discuss the finer points of German industrial and Bauhaus architecture please feel free to get in touch. I'm sure we can find loads of fun things to do together. I want my wee girl to grow up with friends who have parents similar to hers, if that's what you want too then reply. Even if only a few of us get together it's better than being at home alone all day or hanging out with morons at the mother and baby groups.

No offence ladies but the reason that you haven't had any responses yet is because you don't post and we know hee haw about you. Obviously I speak for myself but I'm not really into meeting complete strangers who I've never conversed with when I have my children with me.

Post a bit, get to know the other forum parents and people will probably be more interested in a meetup.

This is actually quite a good idea, I'm a single mum to a 10 week old and not even been to the mother and baby groups, i didnt do well at the ante natal classes with other mums to be so gave up on that one :/
