iv been wanting to goto Alton towers for aaages! Would be good to get a few people to go there together. Alas, very rarely do I have spare time for it. Good idea though.

Think we're planning on going some point this summer, Would drive down though. Would happily shove another couple folk in the car and split the petrol but don't fancy the bus to be honest.

i love how this follows me around... even though i only started the thread cos i was was splitting all the existing chat about the idea from another thread, and even though i said in all likelihood i couldn't actually go myself cos it's so hard to get time off work...

for the record though it's a fun trip and i still don't see what the difference is between this and, say, a subcrawl in terms of forummyness.

I think, when you're barrelling down the road on a bus, its a bit more obvious if you get fed up of the company and try to slope off home.

I am obscurely tempted. Mainly because the only time I've been to Alton Towers it was because I was press-ganged by a bunch of tax inspectors. Just imagine if going with a bunch of forumers was somehow LESS bearable...
