| Re: Ever found yourself wondering what an invisible cephalopod looks like? Pretty amazing. I wouldn’t seriously say that cephalopods are smarter than we are, but your average wee squid or octopus is at least as intelligent as a cat, maybe even a chimp when you’re talking about the larger species. Once you get to the giant scale, who knows how smart the fuckers could be? |

| Re: Ever found yourself wondering what an invisible cephalopod looks like? Did you know that they have giant nerve fibres, too? The axon of an average squid is 1,000x wider than that of a human. That’s why neuroscientists use squid for their experiments—much less fiddly to work with.
Basically, electrical signals pass through a squid’s nervous system many, many times faster than ours do. |

Middle-class white kids with dreads don a blanket and, insisting on being considered a traveller rather than a tourist, 'venture off the beaten track... see the parts of Bangkok no-one else goes to' in order to find themselves.
Wondering what an invisible cephalopod looks like works for me.

| Re: Ever found yourself wondering what an invisible cephalopod looks like? Well, Poprock said they found the dead sharks, which is why I figured it wasnt eating them.

| Re: Ever found yourself wondering what an invisible cephalopod looks like? It didn’t eat them, no. It was in captivity and well fed. My theory is that it knew sharks could be dangerous and was trying to minimize risk to itself by eliminate the perceived threat. Either that or it was simply territorial. |

Maybe it was just a lunatic. The Michael Ryan of betentacled sea-dwelling creatures.

| Re: Ever found yourself wondering what an invisible cephalopod looks like? That’s another strong possibility. Living in captivity drove the thing apeshit. It had impulse control and anger management issues. Plus those feckin’ sharks kept lookin’ at it funny. |
