This might be the craziest thing I've read in a while. The President of Gambia, yes, the
President, is bouncing around hospitals "curing" people of AIDS (and asthma...why only those two things, I do not know).

What he's doing to them is not divulged but apparently the procedure
aggravates the patient's condition and has left some of people in intensive care. But he's not letting a little thing like the cure not working at all deter him.
