Re: Westport Bar 4th May

arghhhh.... fuck!

yes, that sad looking guy in the red NED top was me. Was meant to be going with my mate from work, but unfortunately, er, he had to work so I headed up on my jackers anyway. As my previous post suggested I was under the impression you boys were playin with KBTD tonight. Nevermind, although I sat on my lonesome expecting Steve et al to walk in, that was the first time I'd seen you live and it was shit hot. Absolutely. Ok, not a big crowd, but when you launched into Caffeine Avalanche it was definately worth the wait.

1st band were good, quite funny when the hyperactive bassist managed to entangle himself with his lead from his overzealous marching around the stage, but nevertheless they were good (didnt catch their name tho).

2nd act were , well, not my type of music. Although that guy with the hairs gonna do himself an injury if he keeps screaming like that.

Lookin forward to seeing you play again.

PS. Did anyone notice the two junkies that walked in near the end of your set. The ligging bastards got in for nothing and kept dancing off beat. And they looked well smelly.
PPS. Where can I get a copy of Brundle Kid?

Gigs Last Week

Hi there

I've got net access again for a bit so I'll pop up here from time to time.
The Dundee gig last week was a last minute affair, I think the posters
only went up 5 days in advance. Gav from Revolt was kind enough to
sort it out for us as I've been busy with other things of late.
KBTD were supposed to play but they had to pull out just beforehand.

Definitely the most rushed gig we've ever done!

Evil Michael Knight are obviously gonna be too heavy for some but they're
pretty good at rocking out hc stylee. And more like Clutch I'd say.

But it was those pesky high school kids FINDO GASK who really surprised me.
A bit loose in places granted, but nevertheless the potiential for greatness is there in staggering abundance. A few killer tunes and they'll be set.
I couldn't care less if the bassist pulls his lead out cos he's jumping around so much - it was all good fun. Like Alamos but hyper. They rock. I'd strongly recommend more people & bands offer them gigs.

Aberdeen was great last thursday and thanks to the fudge crew for
sorting it out along with Ross from Moshulu. Its a cool venue alright.
Apparently we played pretty well and Maple posted a thread on
www.aberdeen-music.com to that affect. Cheers guys.

Hiya

glad to hear you're enjoying the tracks. The proper album version of 'The Signs Are There' is one of my faves off the new record. It starts off acoustic and then towards the end the band comes in and builds it up to a new level. Not quite mogwai but it sounds pretty haunting and majestic at the same time. I think its ace. If we had any money I'd have recorded it in a cathedral Hope you can make it along to one of the June gigs!

By the way, I got a few photos from the Needles gig back in February, feel free to put them on the site if you want

Not the best photos I've ever taken, but then the lighting in the venue was shite...
