I can't not read British Phonographic Industry as British Pornographic Industry, for some reason, lending it far more credibility than it deserves.

Everything I've read lists joining the BPI as an important thing for a young label to do, but it just ain't happening. On the contrary, I'd be far more inclined to try and set up an alternative labels union, which isn't crap.
