The hugely enjoyable debut solo effort from UNCLE FRITZ is OUT NOW on Pet Piranha Records. Normally found at home with a brush and canvas, he honed his craft by regularly gigging around Dundee while studying fine art at Dundee Uni.

Recorded by Robin Sutherland who recently produced Laeto’s Zwoa LP, the finished article demonstrates an understated, delicate beauty;
quiet-core with a sense of melancholy combined with distinctive vocals. Whether it’s anti-pop, anti-folk or anti-everything is up to the listener! His alter-ego can be found fronting the stunningly ace thrash-core rock band Perineum.

This is an extremely limited release with only 200 copies being made before the arrival of the next Uncle Fritz record. There’s a free track to download now at petpiranha.com and the label’s online secure shop will be selling copies at £5 until they sell out - so be quick! It’ll also be on-sale at gigs.

Was positively wow-ed last night and have to say that Fritz possesses a power of no other... he actually managed to shut my mate up who had rudely (and loudly) chatted through everyones set all night. Two songs into UF and they stood spellbound. Great night with great acts. Cheers.

i really like em. divorcing september is my current favourite of nine songs, it skips along beautifully, but the whole album is a joy to listen to.
