Any thoughts or opinions on this lot? Some of it made me laugh out loud. For starters, if we're adding in mainstream indie bands like Ash, why are they a kerrang band and yet Radiohead aren't in this list with 'the bends'? Also, although I know fuck all about metal I'd have thought there would be way more metal records in that list. Why are feeder in there??? How is Muse's Absolution no. 6??? Absolution has three good tunes and thats about it and you cant even burn the fucker cos they've got anti-copyright software built into the cd. And what the fuck are Funeral for a Trend doing in there...i dont want an american suburban teen angst emo mall shitty record stinking the place up. "We're a rock n roll band" they say in the issue. No you're not, you're as rock n roll as a big mac with fries. I say BAN COMBOVER FRINGES NOW!!!

The only good thing is that Therapy? got lots of mentions which makes me happy.

My fringe rocks!
Yeah, but aren't these lists just fodder for such arguements.. *cough* sorry debates/discussions. I will confess to owning a whopping 14 of these albums and that's all I can say on the matter.
Oh yeah and why the F were Thin Lizzy not on there!!?

Re: Kerrang's 100 Best British Rock Albums Ever

I just tried counting up how many of those albums I own, and only managed seven. Oddly though, I've seen twenty-eight of the bands play live.

I realise this is of no consequence to anybody at all, but I took the time to count up, so I'm damned well going to post it.

That's what I was thinking.

Compared to some of these efforts, it's not too bad, with only a few outright ridiculous entries.

Better than Metal Hammers 'Top 100 Heaviest Albums Of All Time' poll, anyway.

Re: Kerrang's 100 Best British Rock Albums Ever

I'm not even gonna say how many of them I own ( ok all of them ), but there are fuckin' loads of albums that have been overlooked, but that i what you get for letting the kerrang readership vote, it's a wonder they didn't dig back through kurt cobain's family tree to find some link to the uk so they could have made nirvana number one like they have done in every poll over the last however many years......

I only own 31 of them, I blame internet downloading and greatest hits albums for this.
