Music Wanted - BT BROADBAND NEW MUSIC CHART ON RADIO MAGNETIC

BT Broadband (www.bt.com/btbroadband/) and Scotland's premier alternative
music station, Radio Magnetic (www.radiomagnetic.com), are joining forces to
find the next stars of the Scottish music scene. We are looking for music to
be submitted for consideration to Scotland's first new music chart, which
begins on the Monday 18 April. Music of all styles will be considered with
the only requirement being that the music is either unsigned or
self-released.

If you think your music is good enough and want the chance to get your music
heard by an online audience of more than 170,000 please submit your best
tracks to the address below.

The show will be hosted John Clarke, a music journalist with a passion for
Scottish music. John is a regular contributor to BBC Online, The Big Issue
in Scotland, Broadband Now, the Evening Times and a host of cutting edge
'indie' magazines including The Fly and Is This Music? He also plays in his
own band, Kasino and is editor of RCT Music, a website dedicated to Scottish
music. His knowledge of the Scottish music and live scene promises
insightful commentary on the music being played.

John said: "The internet has proven itself to be a vital tool for new bands
and artists to promote their talents. This chart show will be an invaluable
chance for bands to maximise the medium's potential and provide a chance for
the audience to hear first the up-and-coming stars of tomorrow."

The chart will culminate in a final event (venue to be announced) which will
see the best acts performing in front of a live audience. The winner will
win time in a professional recording studio as well recognition from
listeners and music industry alike.
