| "God Outdoes Terrorists Yet Again" The latest edition of The Onion is out and it's a hurricane special. If you don't know what The Onion is and you are old enough to read then it's probably fair to say that your life has not been much of a success. The best quality of wry satire around and when it claims to be "America's Finest News Source" it's probably right. Reading between the lines, there is more truth in one sentence of an Onion article than there is in one century of CNN or Fox (AAAAAAHHHHHHRRRRGGHHH) News footage.
Anyway, check out the new 'hurricane special' issue. Classic. www.theonion.com/content/
Here's an excerpt;
"Evacuees from the overheated, filth-encrusted wreckage of the New Orleans Superdome were bussed to the humid, 110-degree August heat and polluted air of Houston last week, in a move that many are resisting. "Please, God, not Houston. Anyplace but Houston," said one woman, taking shelter under an overpass. "The food there is awful, and the weather is miserable. And the traffic—it's like some engineer was making a sick joke." Authorities apologized for transporting survivors to a city "barely better in any respect," but said the blistering-hot, oil-soaked Texas city was in fact slightly better, and that casualties due to gunfire would be no worse. | Re: "God Outdoes Terrorists Yet Again" "After numerous attempts to detonate the homemade device hidden under his shirt, the bomber gave up and ordered lunch! Can you imagine the relieved look on that restaurant owner's face?!" "
Shouldn't laugh really.
