So, this guy in the states has a restraining order imposed on him basically saying that he can't go anywhere near his ex. He's clearly not happy with this, so formulates a scheme in order that he can have the order removed. He thinks "Well, If I can film myself having sex with my ex then clearly that proves that she doesn't fear me"...so he heads off to pay her a visit.
Unsurprisingly, she is rather concerned by his arrival and, as you would expect, declines his invitation to engage in some sexual activity. Never mind, thinks he, my plan can still work. So he threatens her, prevents her calling from help and eventually forces himself on her.
Soon after, he pops into his local police station and shows them the 'home video' of him raping her as evidence of the fact that he is not a danger to this woman. "Look," he says "she and I are enjoying a nice love-making session, she clearly isn't scared of me." The video included all of the threats and clear footage of the poor lady struggling. He was promptly arrested.
Evil and stupid. What do you do with a guy like this?
One of the police officers involved put it quite well;
"He provides us the videotape and doesn't realize that there's all this evidence on there that ends up putting him in jail on all these felony charges," Dahle said. "So basically he arrested himself."
