| The Kamikazes Former MiNUS3 vocalist/bassist Meech has a fairly new (as in they've been getting their shit together since summer) punk band that they've finally settled on a name for... The Kamikazes.
They sound like what MiNUS3 used to sound like a couple of years ago when we had Dave Trench on drums... early MiNUS3, without all the added rawk n' roll/metal/ability to play bass/extra fluff that we have now... just some old-fashioned 3-chord punk and a few catchy choruses.
Their drummer is completely crazy, but not in a good way.
They should have a couple of gigs coming up before Christmas. If you hear the name, go see them.
They don't have a website or any recordings other than the recorded rehersals I heard, but you can join their Yahoo group by clicking here. (And so ends another tenious link to MiNUS3 that serves no purpose other than to fill this forum up with crap). |

| Personally, I would have thought Beavis (formerly of Beavis and Butthead TM) would have commanded a much larger fee to appear on drums in Scottish punk band The Kamikazis TM.
However, it seems that just being close to the great Meech and cool Stevo pays more than the green mistress of sterling pounds could ever grant.
He has been quoted to say "I like the shops in Ardrosson... they're really great in fact... er because they sell cans of lager.... er er,... "
....... Among other famous quotes.
He is a wild guy, and the band is worth checking out , even just to see him alone.

| Yeah, he's an Ardrosson man through and through... just don't even mention you're from Glasgow, because then he'll know you stole his underwear from the washing line. |

| Speak of the devil, there's Dave Trench there.
They're doing another recorded rehersal in John McBride's House O' Pish (MTC) again next weekend... will get a tape from him when they do it. I'll bet you think it sounds familiar... |

| That MiNUS3 CD I gave you by the way Dave... that came from the 'fucked' batch I made (that only you got one from) I think, if you've heard it yet you may or may not have noticed it doesn't sound quite right... cymbols are weird for a start, like it was recorded at a lower quality... dunno what I done, Cuff's got a whole bunch of 'proper' copies done though. |

| I personally think that a degraded sound quality 'adds' an authentic 'McBrides House o' Pish TM' quality to any ordinary good quality CD recording.
You can 'mince' any good sounding CD (even from your own collection) to make it sound like the Ramones or Queen CDs were recorded in those 'biscuit tin with door handles' Ibrox ( a quote here) "studios". |

| Haha... McBride was trying to get Meech to give him his address the other night... we're thinking because he's trying to get hold of me. Silly bastard probably didn't reckon he's dealing with people who have quite a bit of experience with debt collection...
I'm sure he'll now be passing it on to his 'lawyers'.
Maybe he just wants to ask me kindly to stop saying things like this... MTC IS SHIT.
Ooo I'm such a rebel. |

| noboday hates that place more than me, i was put through a year of pretty much hell working there. the only reason i stuck it out was so that minus3 could get a ten track demo out of it.....aint i nice, mind you i dont remember the other guys in the band saying thanks........ oh well, reliable cuff, thats me. All im good for is bookin gigs getting rehearsals and organising everything.........(cant even seem to get that right though)............
tell me something folks..is an assistant engineer in a recording studio suppose to clean carpets etc...no.... i didnt think so. If anyone out there wants work experience in the music industry dont go to the house o pish + dont go to stow college either..
all in all workin at MTC left me a bitter twisted old man......with a huge wang.
bum, tits, fannies the lot

| Pointless bump because we're apparently playing a gig with the Kamikazes in December. I don't know where, when or why yet but it's happening.
In celebration, here's a random picture of Cuff and Jamie from MiNUS3, having a merry old time at the Cathouse 12th Birthday Party (picture stolen from www.cplweb.com)...
Now, I can't remember for sure, but wasn't Scruff wearing that same Fugazi shirt on stage earlier in the night? Smelly bastid... |

That's when Bond comes out, Goddamnit... |
