| Re: Amazing! Speaking of Jamie, I found his old bio: "It's the opinion of MiNUS3, and those who choose to be close to MiNUS3, that every band should make sure they have at least one illegal immigrant in their line up. Fortunately, MiNUS3 have one of the best - Australian's own Jamie 'Scruff' Thomson on drums, who turned his back on endless days of sunshine and the home of Kylie Minogue to spend his days hanging around with shitty punk bands in rainy Glasgow, Scotland.
Son of Jason Donovan, Jamie considers himself to be a "professional musician"... well, that's what he wrote on the whole two job applications he's written in his life... and although his much-valued position as drummer in MiNUS3 is his life's ambition, he'll gladly play drums for you if you ask him (he also plays for Cumbernauld skate punks Bert Is Evil, and played with Glasgow rockers Requiem until recently). It doesn't cost much either, just a pot noodle or two every now and again - MiNUS3 have long since stopped feeding him, so he's getting a little skinny (he was as big as an elephant when he first came to these shores, now he's like one of the undead)...
You may think when you see him that he's a little bit too heavily into drugs... much like his Dad, good old Jason D, once wore an amazing technicolour dream-coat, Jamie seems to have an amazing technicolour dream-scalp. When he takes the hat off, you could go blind from just one glimpse at incredible assortment of hair colours. It's almost like the glory-days of the 60's all over again, if Jimi Hendrix were still alive, he'd give up on the acid trips for good, and just ask Jamie to take his hat off whenever he wanted to see something far-out. The doctor has warned Jamie that if he keeps on dying his hair every 2 hours like he does, his hair will fall out and eventually his head will fall off... but our Jamie, punk as f**k as he is, refuses to listen to the doctor, instead choosing to pour several litres of petrol over his head and setting it on fire just to see what kind of colour he'd get.
It's long since been rumoured in the MiNUS3 camp that Jamie is actually part of some kind of Australian mafia... which is why we don't mess with him. He's constantly insisting that when MiNUS3 finally get around to touring Melbourne, he'll make sure "we're alright", and that we'll be "well looked after... treated like Kings!". Such statements are usually followed by a worrying wink, and a tap on the nose... usually, though, all is forgotten when he follows that up by saying "...girls?"
In his spare time, Jamie likes to carry heavy things around and hire young girls over the internet to sign band guestbooks insisting he's the sexiest man who ever walked the Earth. He is, obviously, also one of the most talented drummers MiNUS3 have ever had the fortune to meet, and has helped shaped the sound of MiNUS3 into what they sound like today." |

| Re: Amazing! The only known recording of the now infamous 'Club International' (the song we always give free porn to the crowd while playing) can be found on the sessions page of this site.
I don't think we ever did apologise to Mellers for getting us a session on the strength of a cheery, poppy, family-friendly tune about nostalgia and missing old friends, then going on and playing a filthy punk rawk 'n' roll ode to Cuff's love of big boobs and dodgy pr0n magazines. It's not like it's a subtle tune ('gimme boobie doos'?)... it had been Cuff's dream for years to sing lines like 'monthly high-class nanny goon' and 'get myself some club-girl love, gonna ride those red-hot teens' on the radio, I'm sure. Bless his cotton socks.
We also never told anyone that the first 20 seconds or so of the song was actually 'Groovus Maximus' by the Electric Boys. Thankfully, no-one in the world other than Posh and Jen was ever likely to notice, and Posh is in the band now anyway.
We also used the disabled toilets in the BBC building because we didn't know where the normal toilets were.
We're so bad childish. |

| Re: Amazing! Thankfully, I managed to not shout the 'motherfucker' bit in the 'ROCK-AND-MOTHER-FUCKING-ROLL!' intro when we played it. This is an achievement for me, since I usually can't help randomly calling every motherfucking thing a motherfucker at the best of times.

| Re: Amazing! A search for 'crippled fox' on Google gives you a picture of this man:
Doesn't look much like a fox to me. Unless he's 'crippled' because of his case of chronic ugly. |

| Re: Amazing! Could you burn me a copy of that session, Stu? My dial-up is really slow and it does my head in trying to listen to you fuck up the solo on 'Time After Time'
I dimly remember asking you if Vic tried to blag an invisible t-shirt from you afterwards.
