When the first line of dialogue in a movie is “we’re going to hell” you would have high hopes for a movie and quite frankly “The cottage” delivers in spades. Sometimes literally.
Directed by Paul Andrew Williams (London to Brighton) and starring Andy Serkis (Gollum!), Reece Shearsmith (The League of Gentlemen) and Jennifer Ellison (Brookside). The story of the cottage is that of a kidnap going horribly wrong.
Dave (Serkis) and Peter (Shearsmith) have kidnapped local crime boss's daughter Tracy (Ellison) in what should have been the perfect crime. Obviously it doesn’t go to plan and before long there’s blood on the walls…the floor….the courtyard…the woods. You get the idea.
The Movie itself is wonderfully put together, the gore is over the top, the humour is dark and even the soundtrack is perfect for the mood of the movie. All the performances are top notch with each character interacting and complementing each other brilliantly, making this an...
