| Pirates of the Caribbean I pretty much walked into this film later than most everyone else on the planet, although I think there is a guy somewhere in deepest darkest Azerbaijan sitting in a mud hut that hasn’t seen this movie yet. I was sceptical at first as to the validity of a film that is, for all intent and purpose, based on a theme park ride especially one as saccharin as the “Pirates of the Caribbean” from Disney World. Fear not, the pirates in the movie do not burst into song well not as you’d notice anyway and the acting is better than the animatronic puppet name sakes. Speaking of acting, there is one performance in this movie that outshines, out camps out performs any other and that is the character of Captain Jack Sparrow played by the eternally youthful Johnny Depp. His grand show of flamboyance and quiet madness is...

Not sure if I should be shattering her illusions about this, but... It's inanimate. And made of wood. It can do you no harm. |

But it's still not enough harm to cause fear. It's harm-lite, if you will. |

| Re: Pirates of the Caribbean lu:
finally got round to seeing this last night
bloody hell what a film!!!
i took my mum cause that was the promise and she turned round at just about the end and said that was so good!
mind you and im not joking she has a mass obsession with jonny depp and makes it known whilst watching him (i.e ach hes just lovely hes so lovely blah blah)
anyways..
i totally agreed hes stunning. him and orlando in one movie, wow!
Orlando bloom really though had no chance outshining the sheer excellentness of jack sparrow, although he made a fair attempt. Jonny obviously loved the character himself and you can tell that he improvised a lot of the stuff.
its been a good while since ive been so enthusiastic about a film, all i can say is cant wait till the next one(but maybe i shouldnt say that or it will turn out crap)
