| Re: Another X-Files Movie? Like those cocksuckers don't have enough ill-gotten money. Californication is the shit and is one of the best shows on TV right now. The album by the aforementioned band, not so much.
On topic, I'd love for another X-Files flick, especially with the premise being non-mythology. Maybe Special Agent Dana Scully would get her paps out too and really please the fans. If she's willing too for British tripe like Straightheads then why not for the Hollywood paycheck.
A Frank Black appearance would also be appreciated, since I dropped out of touch with Millennium during the 2nd series as SKY fucked it around, but had always previously enjoyed the show. The resolution of the Millennium Group storyline in the X-Files was a bit dud too, if memory serves, so would be nice to sort that out.

Big up the Writer's Strike for ensuring that this bad boy got fast-tracked into production. That article confirms the fact that it's non-mythology.
Also, according to imdb (and I've heard elsewhere too), it guest stars Amanda Peet, Xzibit, and Billy Connolly?! The mind boggles.

| Re: X-Files: I Want To Believe (July 08) Definatly looks decent.
Although, I have to admit, I'm a much bigger fan of the X-files that aren't about Aliens.
Rather fond of the the ghost/crazy creature ones.
Billy Connelly will be good in it, he was amazing in the Boondock Saints.

| Re: X-Files: I Want To Believe (July 08) The mythology episodes went wrong after season 3 but episodes like the season 1 finale were dynamite.
No ones mentioned the psycological profiling serial killer episodes, which were amazing. Most of the stuff from season 3/4 onwards wasn't worth the effort.

The forthcoming X-Files movie will focus on the romantic intrigue between the two leads, according to writer and producer Frank Spotnitz.
Speaking to TV Guide about The X Files: I Want To Believe, Spotnitz revealed: "The emotional story of Mulder and Scully is really the heart of the movie… it’s about their love story."
David Duchovny, who reprises his role as Fox Mulder, added that "there’s definitely some skin in this movie and not all of it is being flayed or ripped apart. There’s some Gillian [Anderson] skin, and some of mine".
The X-Files: I Want To Believe will be released in the UK on August 1.

Season 6 and 7 had some of the best episodes. The mythology episodes as you call them got better as they went on and hell even some of the episodes with Agent Doggett in them were awesome.

| Re: X-Files: I Want To Believe (July 08) i'm gonna be a big geek and go see this but i know it'll never live up to what i want it to be. the first film was the start of the downfall of x-files, why can't they just leave it be now?

| Re: X-Files: I Want To Believe (July 08) I saw the trailer for this before wanted. Looked decidedly mediocre until the theme kicked in at the end, then I was excited like a kid at crimbo. |
