An action-adventure-comedy that comes to life by night. Good-hearted dreamer Larry Daley (Ben Stiller), despite being perpetually down on his luck, thinks he’s destined for something big. But even he could never have imagined how “big,” when he accepts what appears to be a menial job as a graveyard-shift security guard at a museum of natural history.

My reasons to watch? The cast list is stunning.

First, it's a Ben Stiller/Owen Wilson combo - so anyone that enjoyed Zoolander or Dodgeball should feel right at home. Then there's the extreme list of character actors.
Dick Van Dyke and Mickey Rooney run the place.
Robin Williams as Teddy Roosevelt
Ernest Borgnine, Bill Cobbs, and Paul Rudd

Solid character actors the lot of them..and the effects look non-cheesy as well so probably give it a watch at some point.

Out December in the US, January 26th, 2007 for the UK

I don't think I've seen a film with Ben Stiller in it that I haven't liked yet and the trailer looks ok. I'll probably have forgotten all about it by the time it comes out though, am good at doing that with films I want to see.

I went to see this at the weekend with not much expectations but i was really impressed. I thought it was fantastic. Go see it everyone.

I went to see it a few weeks back and didn't really like it. Although admittedly, I have never been a big fan of Ben Stiller and some bits were just way too cheesy for me.
